D203: 03.31.24

Workout: Cardio
Equipment Used: Schwinn AirDyne
Duration: 7 mi/30 min
Driver:  Dirkschneider: Accepted

Quality Level: N/A
Observations/Intel: Right Knee got braced up, but this time, I switched braces, as the other one was more of a sleeve and I really didn't like it. I'm going to try keeping it on a bit longer post-workout, to see if that helps anything, but it has gradually been improving. Today's workout was pretty ok. I was able to drive cadence harder for longer and in the near future, am going to try to increase the weekend time more. Once we're into the swing of that, definitely going to sprints. Did a weigh-in, but off my usual timing, so not sure how much stock I put into it, but I've been holding pretty steady at 253 for the last 3 or so weeks. Diet has been pretty good this weekend, but weekends usually are, and I need to tighten up the week more...

D202: 03.28.24

Workout: Cardio
Equipment Used: Schwinn AirDyne
Duration: 7 mi/32 min
Driver:  Random YouTube shit

Quality Level: N/A
Observations/Intel: Right Knee got braced up, which helped somewhat. Air was shit, but as these workouts are after a full day of work, adding that in is still something my body is not accustomed to, so Legs were also a bit shit. Hopefully, I can finally keep some consistency going and start progressing that a bit better. I really need to do a weigh-in and tweak the diet more, but it's back to being cold, which I never find super helpful when trying to move the diet around. It definitely is not a matter, or hasn't been so far, of falling back into the old saddle again and the gym would help quite a lot, I think...but still a ways from that making sense. Still hoping for this year.

Workout: Cardio
Equipment Used: Schwinn AirDyne
Duration: 6 mi/28 min
Driver:  Dimmu Borgir: Ozzfest 2004

Quality Level: N/A
Observations/Intel: Right Knee is still being stupid about things, so I'm going to have to go to a brace for it, I think, as I can definitely be pushing a lot harder than I am. I've tried to be a lot more active with walking around lately and have finally completed all the extraneous chilehead stuff, so I can turn the focus once more back to the Air Dyne...I hope. I really need to get a weigh-in, at some point..diet has been pretty decent overall, with lengthy bouts of this very nice quinoa salad I was making up. I may continue to tinker around with stuff like that, try to get more fresh veggies into the mix, etc. The gym, alas, seems very distant at this point, though...

D200: 02.29.24

Workout: Cardio
Equipment Used: Schwinn AirDyne
Duration: 6 mi/30 min
Driver:  Judas Priest: Electric Eye

Quality Level: N/A
Observations/Intel: Knees were giving  me fits today and Legs were already a touch tired going in, so went casual with this one. I skipped Tuesday because at times my hobby of being a chilehead (I'm currently prepping for a challenge) conflicts with any intense exercise and that was definitely the case then. I was debating going yesterday instead, but want to try to get to and keep a schedule as much as possible. I was going to run a bit longer than a half hour, but my right Knee was tetchy going in and then the Left gave out around the 28 minute mark so I just finished out the half hour. Obviously, Air was not pushed this time, either. Definitely absolutely will not be resuming the gym in April as I had hope pre-COVID. Maybe this summer, at this point, if things going very well...

Workout: Cardio
Equipment Used: Schwinn AirDyne
Duration: 8 mi/36 min
Driver:  Judas Priest: Electric Eye

Quality Level: N/A
Observations/Intel: Ok, so I was able to string a couple consecutive planned sessions together, happily, and I was also able to push a bit harder on this one. Legs held up pretty well for most of it, enough to push air a bit, which is, predictably, kind of shit, but flagged a bit towards the end. I'll be curious to see how tomorrow goes, and if possible, will try to work another in then. I'm also, once again, going to attempt to shift over the diet for this week back to something cleaner, as I tried right before COVID, and maybe get in a weigh-in before March...maybe.

Workout: Cardio
Equipment Used: Schwinn AirDyne
Duration: 6 mi/30 min
Driver:  Judas Priest: Live In London

Quality Level: N/A
Observations/Intel: Still not exactly entirely recovered from COVID. Last week's light workout wound up with some longer bouts of exhaustion than I'd expected. We'll see how this one does, even though these are very, very low level workouts. I definitely felt motivated today, but Legs gave out pretty quickly and I still have these odd random pains, which I didn't have prior to COVID, so I'm assuming it's still working itself out. Hopefully I can string more of these together, but I can't even remotely predict when I'll be able to resume the gym, since my timetable is so radically and drastically thrown off now.

Workout: Cardio
Equipment Used: Schwinn AirDyne
Duration: 6 mi/29 min
Driver:  Judas Priest: Live In London

Quality Level: N/A
Observations/Intel: Ok, so got severely derailed by a week of really bad COVID, a second week of less bad, but still pretty bad COVID, then 2 weeks of after-effects, which rather neatly derailed any working out and, for a time, nearly all activity. So, this week will be shaking off rust, mainly, and trying to get a status, then hopefully next week, I can kick back into gear and start pushing. This quite possibly is going to push any attempt at getting into the gym back a month, but we'll see. I'm trying really hard not to be frustrated by that setback, but a lot of shit really got tossed out the window, forcibly, by that bout and I was more or less one inhaler away, for a while there, from being sent to a hospital bed. Do not recommend.

Workout: Cardio
Equipment Used: Schwinn AirDyne
Duration: 7 mi/32 min
Driver:  Random YouTube Bullshit

Quality Level: N/A
Observations/Intel: Air was right awful shit today. Fucking winter pollution. Legs are coming along nicely. I do a fair amount of walking throughout the day for the gig, so I can't exactly come home and blast them, just yet, but they are solid enough to overdrive Air, which is lagging badly lately. That is the point, though, and hopefully I can get in a longer session or two this weekend. Right now, 30 minutes-ish is pushing things a tad, but I want to move that envelope a bit further. Just need to keep stringing them together. Also, trying to focus in more on the diet. Will be switching to a more reduced carb setting starting probably next week..unless I forget again.

Workout: Cardio
Equipment Used: Schwinn AirDyne
Duration: 6 mi/31 min
Driver:  Random YouTube Bullshit

Quality Level: N/A
Observations/Intel: Hey, remember that one time last year, when I said that I thought I'd jinxed myself? Well...I hadn't seen anything yet, as I wound up absolutely wrecked a couple days later, which laid me out nearly all of the following weekend. Fun. I thought it was food poisoning, but it had enough weird shit with it, may have been the flu. Anyway, I decided I really should have a break and left off everything entirely, other than decompressing and relaxing. Good part was that I dropped about 7 lbs. from the last weigh-in from the last time I weighed myself, but no clue where I stand now.

Getting back to it today, Legs were fine, but Air was shit. I love winters here, because it tends to trap the smog and makes the air filthy, which causes me more and more havoc as I age. Just good stuff...I really would like to get back into the fucking gym in a couple of months or so, so definitely have to keep on track and get Air sorted, as well as dragging my ass back onto a better diet.
